A man attempting to photograph moose calves was killed by their mother over the weekend, authorities in Alaska said Monday.

State troopers in Homer say they received a report Sunday morning that a cow moose had charged two men, killing Dale Chorman. Dale's son, Nathan Chorman, wrote in a statement that Chorman was a loving husband, great father, and a fantastic friend to family.
