A New Jersey man’s Uber ride turned into a trip that would save his life.

Uber driver Tim Letts is a 33-year-old army veteran who was working in New Jersey two years ago. While working in a very different area from his usual spots, he got the lift request from Bill Sumiel who was on his way home from a dialysis appointment. As the two struck up a conversation, Bill shared that he needed a kidney transplant after suffering kidney failure because of diabetes.
