So many physicians are retiring or will soon retire that a nationwide shortage is predicted within the next decade.

The average time from ER arrival to departure rose by an hour at UPMC Hamot and Saint Vincent Hospital between September 2019 and September 2022.

Erie County Department of Health officials reported 647 flu cases from Nov. 20-26, a 66% increase from the previous week.
