STOCKHOLM , Dec. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile and Greater Than announced Thierry Benchetrit as the winner of the FIA Smart Driving Challenge (FIA SDC)

Today the FIA World Council for Automobile Mobility and Tourism has endorsed the appointment of Willem Groenewald as the new Secretary General for Automobile Mobility and Tourism. Willem joins from the Automobile Association of South Africa (AASA) where he has been CEO since 2019. Willem’s appointment from one of the FIA’s Clubs is representative of the new Presidential Team’s focus on member empowerment. Under the new structure he will report directly to the CEO Natalie Robyn.

On 22-23 September, the 2022 FIA Region II Roundtable gathered FIA Members from Asia-Pacific at Hotel Metropole in Hanoi, Vietnam to address the mobility challenges and opportunities in the region. Co-hosted by FIA Members the Automobile Association of Vietnam (AA Vietnam) and AIP Foundation, the Roundtable brought together more than 60 Club Delegates from 19 countries around the theme ‘Reconnecting in Hanoi’.

On 22-23 September 2022, the FIA Region II Roundtable will gather FIA Member Clubs from Asia-Pacific at Hotel Metropole in Hanoi, Vietnam on the theme ‘Reconnecting in Hanoi’. Together, they will address the mobility challenges and opportunities in the region, at the kind invitation of FIA Members Automobile Association of Vietnam (AA Vietnam) and AIP Foundation. The FIA Region II Asia Pacific is made up of 24 countries, 19 Clubs and 35 million members.
