BANGOR -- The Bangor school systems new superintendent was announced at Wednesday nights committee meeting.

In nominating Cara Pelletier as chair, Gretchen Schaefer called her a “critical thinker, clear communicator and congenial collaborator.”

These four candidates are looking to take three of the seven seats on the Bangor school board.

The search committee, lead by Roger Katz, will hold public listening sessions Dec. 5 and Dec. 6 in Bangor and Augusta, respectively, to gather feedback about what faculty, staff and community members would like to see in a president.
