((vanessa murphy)) dave, richard scavone is a former metro police officer who is suspected of working as a prostitute. he s been indicted on a federal civil rights violation and he s accused of lying on a report about the incident. this is significant because you don t hear much about officers being indicted locally. the incident occurred just over a year ago on january 6-th of 20-15 near tropicana and industrial road. police reviewed scavone s body camera footage at the time and turned it over to the district attorney s office. on march 17-th of last year, metro held a press conference and called his use of force excessive and unreasonable. terminated seven
