Members of the Hillsboro City Schools Board of Education discussed several recent school events during a brief meeting Wednesday, Dec. 20, as the district is currently in its winter break.

Student and district honors were the theme of the night Monday, Nov. 20 at the Hillsboro City Schools Board of Education meeting, as two individual students, plus the district year in review, were celebrated.

Highland County voters elected school board members for all five of the county’s districts Tuesday, Nov. 7, with voters in various precincts also selecting candidates in other counties.

Another school year is underway for the Hillsboro City Schools district, with board members hearing an update on the first few days of school during their Monday, Aug. 21 meeting.

The Highland County Board of Elections has certified the list of candidates for the Nov. 7 general election, which will include village, township and school board races, plus 12 issues and options.
