Gobble, gobble...bang! It’s turkey hunting season on Redstone Arsenal.

In keeping with our tradition of encouraging the arts, J.R. Clary Jr., of Baton Rouge, tells of the thrill of the dance:

If you want to check out your archery skills, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation’s Outdoor Recreation has an outdoor archery range for new and experienced bow and arrow shooters.

Everyone at Redstone is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a brand new $925,000 learning center, archery range center and walking path that was funded by energy savings on post.

Outdoor Recreation will present the Redstone Hunter Safety Orientation later this month in a prerecorded video that will be available on MWR’s Facebook page.

There’s good news if you like to fish but don’t have a license in the state of Alabama: Saturday is a free-for-all.

Outdoor Recreation has extended its hours of operations to seven days a week.

The brutally cold temperatures that swept through the area around Christmas left some damage behind across Redstone Arsenal.

It’s time to talk turkey at Outdoor Recreation.

Redstone Arsenal boasts some of the best bike trails in the region, and they aren’t just for people who live or work on post.
