Tonopah Elementary News Today

Nye County School District trustees will negotiate a $25 million contract with Texas-based CORE Construction to build a new Tonopah Elementary School.

Costs for the new elementary school are already $6 million more than initial estimates. Officials are now eyeing a plan that would build most of the school at an off-site manufacturing facility.

Parents, students and teachers at the town’s schools have multiple complaints to share with trustees.
