READING – With a week to go before the deadline, just three Reading residents have applied to be on the Town Manager Screening Committee.

WILMINGTON — After the Select Board’s previous pick for the job suddenly withdrew his interest late last week, the board voted 4-1 Tuesday to appoint Veterans' Services Director Louis Cimaglia as the interim town manager effective after Town Manager Jeffrey Hull’s Oct. 31 retirement.

Most of the time was spent on proposed amendments to the Town Charter.
