Amy Tran Russell was elected to the Vacaville Unified School District Board of Trustees Area 6 seat after leading the early vote tally in the special vacancy election held Tuesday. Russell led the final unofficial count released at 8:42 p.m., with 834 votes. Opponent Tracee Stacy received 694 votes at that time.
