Tropical Storm Don is still a weak tropical storm in the central Atlantic Basin drifting south at 5 mph toward warmer sea surface temperatures. This will allow gradual intensification but a curve back north is expected by the weekend. Don poses no threat to land. 

We'll start off dry this morning with temperatures in the 70s and 80s and a muggy feel out the door. Grab the umbrella for later today as an easterly component to the wind will pin afternoon scattered storms along our coastline.

After weakening to a depression, Don has restrengthened into a weak tropical storm with winds sustained at 40 mph.

Isolated showers will impact the coast throughout the morning while inland areas stay mostly dry. Temperatures are starting out in the upper 70s to low 80s with another hot day ahead as heat advisories are in place for Collier, Hendry and Glades counties.

This morning will feature muggy, warm conditions with only a stray coastal shower in the forecast out the door.

Don weakened to a tropical depression earlier today. Winds are now sustained at only 35 mph and spinning in the central Atlantic, over 1,500 miles from the U.S. mainland.

Aside from a stray coastal shower this morning, most of the rain today will hold off until the late afternoon. Storms will develop a bit later today as well with the best chance for activity after 2 p.m.

Don is barely hanging on to subtropical storm strength with winds now sustained at only 40 mph spinning in the central Atlantic, over 1,500 miles from the U.S. mainland.

A few showers and storms are developing offshore this morning but most of the activity will only scrape by our coastline.

Subtropical Storm Don is spinning in the central Atlantic over 1,500 miles from the U.S. mainland. Don's maximum sustained winds dropped to 40 mph and is moving now due north at 9 mph. It's possible that the system will transition into a post-tropical cyclone in the coming days.
