Making the move to a four-year college or university is easier thanks to help from Butte event

Students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university following their education at Western Nevada College are invited to attend Transfer Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27 in WNC’s Library in the Joe Dini Building.

College and university advisers and representatives from around Nevada met with students Thursday as part of Transfer Day at Western Nevada College in Carson City. The advisors and reps met with students who are planning to transfer to a four-year college or university as they continue to build on their WNC associate degree.

Student leaders are calling upon UCLA to provide improved funding for transfer students, particularly through admit weekends for marginalized student communities. Welcome weekends are aimed at increasing the number of students who accept UCLA offers of admission.
