A Nevada foreclosure mediation program that started at the height of the housing crisis in 2009 will accept its last enrollments at the end of this month.

Over the past three years we have hosted large effort clean-ups in the Sand Canyon area to address the active ongoing dumping that occurs in the canyon area. This area sees large amounts of trash year after year.

Muscle Powered, the local non-profit organization that advocates for cycling and walking, is continuing their monthly clean-up project called Trash Mobs. The Trash Mob meets on the third Saturday of every month for an hour to clean up litter along Carson Citys walking and biking paths.
