The pandemic zeitgeist in-home exercise company agreed to pay the fine after the death of a six-year-old and at least a dozen other injuries.

Peloton is partnering with Amazon to sell its original Bike, its Guide strength training system, and apparel. Buyers will be able to choose whether they want to self-assemble the products or have an expert put things together. Both options are free.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Peloton CEO Barry McCarthy noted the company is redesigning its bikes so they can be self-assembled. The rower may also make an appearance this holiday season.

Peloton’s financial woes continue as the company will purportedly cut nearly 800 jobs in a third round of layoffs. The Bike Plus and Tread will also see price hikes as Peloton also shutters several retail locations.

New Peloton CEO Barry McCarthy has started shaking up Peloton’s business strategy since taking the helm in February, but the company posted large losses in Q3 as it shifts toward a software-first business model that’s less dependent on hardware.

Peloton Tread and Tread Plus owners can now pause mid-workout for on-demand classes. It mirrors the pause button that Peloton rolled out to its Bike and Bike Plus in late 2021.

While the Peloton Tread had a rocky start, it’s an excellent treadmill that’s both sleeker and safer than its predecessor. However, while Peloton’s created a good product, the company’s business woes cast a shadow over it.

Almost 3000 staff at embattled fitness company Peloton were let go, with some employees only finding out they'd got the sack when they couldn't get into their work messaging platform.

In its most recent earnings call, Peloton announced CEO John Foley stepped down, 2,800 jobs were cut, and its manufacturing ambitions were put on hold. Investors are pushing for a sale, but Peloton’s fate still rests in Foley’s hands.

Peloton has announced that it is laying off thousands of employees, and a 12-month Peloton membership is among the items the outgoing CEO says will be included in their severance packages.
