Tree Utah will offer tree lovers in Utah ample opportunity to wrap their arms around a tree and give it a big hug this summer or at least learn more about them.

        Fremont Community Theatre will present its first show of the 2022/2023 season, “AVENUE Q,” Sept. 30-Oct. 2 and Oct. 7-9. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. The theatre is located at 1551 Dickinson St.

        The McAlear Art Gallery in the Brown Welcome Center at Schedel Arboretum & Gardens, 19255 W. Portage River South Rd., is showcasing an exhibit by Randy A. Bennett, of Rudolph, Ohio.

Earth Day festivities include a tour about trees at the University of Iowa Pentacrest Museums and a cleanup event hosted by Backpocket Brewing.

The University of Iowa Pentacrest Museums (UIPM) will debut Tree Tours, a new educational program series. Guests will embark on guided strolls featuring ecological diversity, symbolism, history and lore of notable tree species on campus. The first tour is noon on Friday.

        Schedel Arboretum & Gardens will present an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16, from noon-4 p.m. on the garden grounds, 19255 W. Portage River South Rd., Elmore.
