A maintenance worker who yelled "it's your lucky day" before attempting to murder two colleagues with a pickaxe and scalpel during an "unprovoked" hospital rampage has been jailed for 31 years.
Matteo Bottarelli beat Trevor McGuire over the head with a mattock and stabbed Gideon Tesfay with a scalpel. The rampage began in the Central Middlesex Hospital canteen.
Matteo Bottarelli has been convicted of attempting to murder two colleagues after chasing them around the grounds of a London hospital. He will be sentenced in April
