A surgical centre that can perform up to 4,000 orthopaedic operations a year is set to cut waiting times.

A hospital maintenance worker who attempted to murder two of his colleagues has been jailed for 30 years.

Matteo Bottarelli beat Trevor McGuire over the head with a mattock and stabbed Gideon Tesfay with a scalpel. The rampage began in the Central Middlesex Hospital canteen.
