A 4,000-square-foot outparcel at Triangle Crossing Shopping Center is under construction and will soon house two national brands.

Area sales tax collections continued to rise marginally in April, with West Point taking the lead with more than 4% growth compared to the same month last year, while Starkville and Columbus rose between 2% and 3%, respectively.

Sales tax collections in Columbus and Starkville saw a more than 10-percent jump in March compared to a year ago, while West Point showed a marginal improvement from last year.
