On an overcast and breezy evening, hundreds of friends, family and acquaintances of Neel Acharya stood before the Unfinished Block P.

Hindu YUVA at Purdue with the Triangle Fraternity are hosting a celebration of life for Neel Acharya at the Unfinished Block P on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Neel Acharya, an Indian student pursuing a double major at Purdue University in Indiana, has been confirmed dead. His body was found outside Maurice J. Zucrow Laboratories on Purdues campus. Neels death comes after the recent murder of Vivek Saini, another Indian student in the US.

Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office located the body of the missing Indian youth Neel Acharya on the Purdue campus; the cause of his death is not yet known.

Neel Acharya’s demise comes after the news of the grisly murder of Vivek Saini, another Indian student who had recently earned an MBA degree in the US and was hammered to death by a homeless drug addict, making it the second student death in the US in the past few weeks
