Puget Sound Energy and the Family Support Center of South Sound are hosting a ribbon cutting to celebrate a new solar array installation, made possible in part by PSE’s Green Power Solar Grant program.

The Family Support Center of South Sound project will house more than 200 people.

Five female advisers have received $2000 each from the Council of Australian Life Insurers (CALI) as it looks to boost the number of women in risk advice.

Each winner will be paired with a senior female life insurance industry head

Every night local families who are without homes fill the 36 beds Pear Blossom Place, where they live temporarily. Woodshed Furniture, a family-owned business, is opening its heart and hands to support Pear Blossom Place’s work through the Family Support Center (FSC) by collecting and matching funds for new mattresses.

Green power is thriving, whether it’s harnessing wind, water or sunlight. Thanks to Puget Sound Energy’s Green Power Community Support Grants, local groups, nonprofits and the environment will benefit for years to come.
