Police say the child was taken to Children s of Alabama hospital for treatment, but he died on Monday morning.Police arrested 18-year-old Joshua Washington Sunday night and charged him with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied building or dwelling. Washington is in the Macon County Jail.After the child died, Washington s charge was upgraded to capital murder. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he had an attorney who could comment.
