Back in April, Elon Musk had threatened to sue Microsoft for refusing to subscribing to Twitters API programme and pay for access to it. Musk was particularly angry for Microsofts refusal to advertise on the platform.

Twitter went down for millions as users reported several issues with the platform -- from links not opening to images stopped loading and more -- as there was only one person handling the platforms application programming interface (API).
