Omicron Scare Reaches India: Two Cases Reported: The new variant of coronavirus named Omicron is named to be extremely dangerous and highly transmissible all over. The virus was first traced in South Africa and it is now spread across 29 countries of the globe.

Two cases of Omicron variant have been detected in Karnataka, confirmed health ministry. The ministry added that all primary and secondary contacts of individuals detected with the Omicron variant have been traced.
