Blood type may be another COVID risk factor, like whether one’s immune system is compromised, or whether one has diabetes or obesity, new research suggests.

Research shows people with type A blood are at a 25 to 50 percent higher risk of contracting COVID-19 than those with type O blood. Despite this risk, everyone should still take precautions against the virus, regardless of their blood type.
