Typhoid Outbreak News Today

Gauteng metros are on high alert amid fears of possible outbreaks of typhoid fever which has already been declared in the Western Cape and North West provinces.

The National Institute for Communicable Diseases has dismissed fake news claiming the outbreaks stem from contaminated municipal water.

The Knysna municipality says its water is safe to drink and that there is no outbreak of typhoid in the area.
