He was charged with first degree murder, wanton endangerment. His trial started April 19, 2024 in front of Kanawha County Circuit Judge Carrie Webster. Cortni Ann Stovall pleaded guilty in November 2023 to a lesser charge in return for her testimony. She testified on Friday, April 19, 2024.
