A SANDOWN man who illegally drove a car and gave false details to police has since been sentenced for drug driving.

Kye Malin, of Stower Place, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Tuesday (July 13). The 32-year-old admitted using a motor vehicle without insurance, and driving without a valid licence, on June 25. Prosecutor, Ann Smout, told the court that at around 4.30pm, an officer had been on duty driving an unmarked police vehicle on Newport Road, Ventnor.
