Royal Caribbean Group said on Thursday it was aiming to restart its U.S. cruises in July after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued new measures to speed up approvals, sending its shares up 2.5%.
Late on Wednesday, the CDC made public a letter to the cruise industry that said it was “committed” to the resumption of passenger operations in the United States by mid-summer.
It followed a lawsuit from Alaska and Florida that sought to overturn the health agency’s year-long ban on the cruise industry’s operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

(Reuters) -KFC and Pizza Hut owner Yum Brands Inc reported a stronger-than-expected 18% jump in revenue on Wednesday, as the reopening of the U.S. economy boosted demand in restaurants and online.
The roll-out of vaccines and the easing of dining room capacity restrictions in the United States have led to more people eating out after a year of ordering in, boosting sales at Yum s restaurant chains as well as those of its rivals.
Warmer weather and fresh government stimulus checks have led to consumers spending more at restaurants, many of which are struggling to hire new workers fast enough to keep up with the jump in sales.

(Reuters) - After a year of declining sales, Starbucks Corp on Tuesday is expected to report record second-quarter revenue of over $6.8 billion, as speedy vaccinations in the United States and China make customers more comfortable with returning to their morning coffee runs.
The world s largest coffee chain was plagued in 2020 by falling store traffic, as rising infections and the closure of most offices prompted many to start making coffee at home. Hasbro toys to get more expensive as costs surge

(Reuters) -Hasbro Inc said on Tuesday it would raise prices of toys and games to counter higher raw material costs as the company sees surging demand for its Nerf blasters and board games from families spending more time at home.
Shares of the Monopoly maker, which late on Monday announced the sale of Entertainment One Music to Blackstone Group Inc for $385 million, rose 1% in morning trading.
The toymaker, like most U.S. manufacturers, has had to contend with rising resin, packaging and metal prices, as well as soaring transportation costs due to high demand and supply disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
