In 2020, Maxwell Air Force Base was selected as the preferred location to host the MH-139A Grey Wolf Formal Training Unit, with the 908th tasked with the mission.

The 908th Airlift Wing is dedicated to developing and delivering multi-capable Airmen, and that starts when trainees arrive.
