We recognize the importance of a talented and Diverse Workforce and cybersecurity particularly given a lot of the challenges we face. Theres been some amazing

I want to welcome our participations we will call them, witnesses, where we have the honorable elaine duke, claire brady, george scott and john kelly from dhs, as well as the office of Inspector General. This roundtable is to discuss the attempt to reauthorize dhs, the house is past their bill and they had a memorandum of understanding to consolidate that entire process under the department or committee of Homeland Security in the house and its been a little more messier here in the senate which is not unusual in the Commerce Committee was taken up in past authorization of tsa and coast guard and we have a number of components and my staff keeps telling me the summer of 40 or percent and that is what we are here to talk about today. I think its accurate to say that with the house authorization does is and this is what we do in the
Veterans outside of the system, so important. We are going to ensure every veteran in america gets timely access to topquality care including the best care in the world for our female veterans. [cheers and applause] the Veterans Health system will remain a public system because it is a public trust but never again will we allow any veteran to suffer or die waiting for care. That means veterans will have the right to go to a va facility or the right to see a private doctor or clinic of their choice, whatever is fastest and best for the veteran. Theyll be no more fiveday waits in lines. If youre waiting in line, youre going to go a private doctor across the street, private hospital across the street nearby and be taken care of efficiently. People are waiting in line five days, six days and seven days and many dying for a simple procedure. We will pick up the bill. You have my word on that. I have the biggest rallies ive ever had and we have covid. People are saying, whatever, leave us alone, theyre tired of it. People are tired of hearing fauci and all these idiots, these people, these people that have gotten it wrong. Fauci is a nice guy, hes been here for 500 years. He called every one of them wrong. And yet we keep them. Every time he goes on television theres always a bomb. But theres a bigger bomb if you fire him. Fauci is a disaster. This as the total number of coronavirus cases are on the rise nationwide and dr. Fauci revealed he was expecting the outbreak at the white house. Were you surprised that President Trump got sick . Absolutely not. I was worried that he was going to get sick when i saw him in a completely precarious situation of crowded, no separation between people and almost nobody wearing a mask. When i saw that on tv, i said oh, my goodness. Meantime senator Kamala Harris is on her way to an event in jacksonville, florida, just days after 100 one of
Convention. Trump was a big topic of conversation among the speakers at the dnc. The republican nominee gets his turn. Martha good morning. Im Martha Maccallum last night the Democratic Convention was all about Bernie Sanders. He tried to smooth things over in the wake of the leaked emails that had his support officers outraged. The vermont senator gave the endorsement that team clinton so have much wanted him to do, but his fans said they werent having that. Hillary clinton must become the next president of the United States. Bill that is how if the night went. Sanders supporters not happy about any of this. They were all booing. Speakers urged the crowd to support clinton. Bernie sanders has lost his energy and lost his drive. I think hes exhausted. But who can blame him. I think his supporters are not exhausted. And his supporters are liking what i have said in terms of trade and trade deals. Well getting ripped off. I think well get a lot of those supporters to come with us. Martha
