LAS VEGAS police executed a search warrant on a home in HENDERSON, NV, as part of the investigation into the cold-case murder of rap icon TUPAC SHAKUR in SEPTEMBER, 1996 as the passenger in a BMW driven by MARION "SUGE" KNIGHT when he was gunned down by a mysterious man in a white CADILLAC alongside their vehicle.The department issued the following statement: “LVMPD can confirm a search warrant was served in HENDERSON, NV, on JULY 17th, 2023, as part of the ongoing TUPAC .

Mask requirement on friday in counties with high transmission. the associated press reports 12 counties will be affected, including clark county, home to las vegas. new infections in nevada have surged. the state reported the highest one-day increase since january. the number of people hospitalized has also spiked. the las vegas review journal showed that data showed 1,143 people with either confirmed or suspected cases of covid-19 were hospitalized in the state, unchanged from tuesday s report. hospitalizations also have been climbing since reaching a recent low of 209 on june 12. for more we welcome to the broadcast dr. luis medina garcia, an infectious disease specialist at university medical center of southern nevada in las vegas. doctor, thank you for being with us tonight. i note you re wearing your mask. describe what s going on in
yeah. we just confirmed that the country superstar did make his way over to the university medical center of southern nevada, the level one trauma center where we saw so many of the wounded went. they had critically wounded patients there. more than a hundred patients went to that hospital after this crisis here in las vegas. we know that he went there today to visit with some of those critically wounded patients. so last night saturday night live and then made his way back here to las vegas to spend some time sharing spirits, getting those fans, those superfans i m sure many of them super jason aldean fans, lifting their spirits with a surprise visit from him today. that s so nice to hear. stephanie elam, thanks so much for the update in las vegas. we ve been reading the names of those who lost their lives as we learn their identities. here are the names and faces of some of those. andrea casilla, 28 years old.

He was shot in the leg on sunday night but despite his injury, thomas made sure he got out of bed to greet the president. he explained this on facebook. he said i will never lie down when the president of this great country comes to shake my hand. there may be plenty of issues in this country but i will always respect my country, my president, my flag. shot in the leg or not, i will stand to show my president the respect he deserves. earlier today, we did in fact have the honor to go to university medical center in southern nevada. we spoke with thomas gunderson. watch this. thomas. how s it going? sean: how are you? doing well. sean: i know i m not the president. i apologize in advance. Still wrapping up her day shift, she was still in house. i made two phone calls to my backup surgeon that night. and our chairman who you saw with the president yesterday. we got everybody involved and implement that our mass casualty plan in place. it was really all hands on deck. bring in all providers from the medical field coming in. very quickly we were in control of the situation. it was very pithy, no doubt. we were in control from the get-go. sean: we were talking in the hall, doctor. you compared it to a combat zone. yes, i am in the air force. i am a colonel in charge of the smart program sean: colonel or doctor? doctor. cooperative program we have with umc and the school of medicine. medics that come over from the air force actually work here. that day i was on call. started as a backup call. i just finished up and my phone
sean: we watch as a nation we are in all of what you all were able to do to help us leave all these lives. from your perspective, you actually planned for this numerous times a year. we do, we drill often. we have comprehensive plans. we had the orlando regional health team come to speak to us. about lessons learned from the pulse nightclub shooting. we took a lot of those lessons and apply them at umc. it was very helpful. sean: you never think it s going to happen. we plan for the endeavor expected to happen. a lot more lives would have been lost if we did not do those drills throughout the year. sean: an amazing story of saving lives. i was on call. here. a little after 10:00 p.m., we were notified that we had a mass casualty situation coming from the vegas strip.
