Before the first beat dropped, there was one Rhode Island native at the helm of the lighting production for the most-viewed halftime show in NFL history.
The Public Theater has announced the complete cast for the staged world premiere play shadow/land, written by Erika Dickerson-Despenza and directed by Candis C. Jones.

Her solo show, “Studio Work; Drawn to Solace,” opens May 13 and runs until June 2. Created in her home studio, Hanley-Warren’s landscapes draw on the area salt marshes and estuaries for inspiration.

Her education in art included Parsons School of Design, several extended stays in Europe (including an intensive study of art history and painting in Florence), and fine arts studies at State University of New York at Purchase College.
Continuing her artwork with watercolors and plein air painting for many years, Hanley-Warren also created works for Damariscotta Pottery, well known for its colorful Majolica pottery. The shop closed last year, and since then she has been focusing on her paintings.
