Her solo show, “Studio Work; Drawn to Solace,” opens May 13 and runs until June 2. Contributed photo Her education in art included Parsons School of Design, several extended stays in Europe (including an intensive study of art history and painting in Florence), and fine arts studies at State University of New York at Purchase College. Continuing her artwork with watercolors and plein air painting for many years, Hanley-Warren also created works for Damariscotta Pottery, well known for its colorful Majolica pottery. The shop closed last year, and since then she has been focusing on her paintings.
