The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has introduced new rules for Aadhaar enrolment and updates. Simplify the process of updating demographic details in the Aadhaar system. Update information in the Central Identities Data Repository (CIDR) conveniently. Replace existing forms for Aadhaar enrolment and updating Aadhaar details. Update documents or information within ten years from the date of Aadhaar generation.

On June 22, 2023, Budget Implementation Act, 2023, No. 1 formerly Bill C-47 received Royal Assent. Among the various other measures in this omnibus bill, the Act made significant amendments to Canadas autonomous sanctions statutes, the Special Economic Measures Act the SEMA and the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act the Magnitsky Law, to clarify ownership and control rules for purposes of sanctions imposed under the SEMA and the Magnitsky Law.

On February 21, 2022, Russia formally recognized the purported independence of two regions in Eastern Ukraine, Donetsk and Luhansk. The next day it ordered Russian troops into the separatist-occupied territories, and the incursion escalated into a multi-pronged invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Canada swiftly announced new sanctions that target Russia and the occupied Ukrainian regions, as it warned it would do if Russia were to continue its aggressive policies against Ukraine.
