The Walt Disney Company will participate in the Pride boat parade in the Netherlands for the first time on Saturday. Dozens of employees from The Walt Disney Company Benelux will board one of the 50 boats sailing through the canals of Utrecht. The employees are taking part in the initiative of a company working group that promotes inclusion.

A boat with drag queens will lead the boat parade of Utrecht Pride on Saturday as a statement against several violent incidents targeting the LGBTQIA+ community in recent months. “We believe that more visibility promotes acceptance,” Robbert Kalff, founder and chairman of Utrecht Pride, told RTL Nieuws.
