Letter: Attentive hikers, firefighters saved woodland
May 20, 2021 Editor, Townsman: The Andover Village Improvement Society wishes to wholeheartedly thank the Andover Fire Department for its quick response to a fire in the Vale Reservation along the Shawsheen River. We also thank the hikers who called in this fire to 911 on the afternoon of April 26. The response saved many acres of woodland from burning and protected vital wildlife habitat.
