Captured by MAVENs Imaging Ultraviolet Spectrograph (IUVS) instrument during the spacecrafts orbits around the sun, these images offer a glimpse into the Martian landscape like never before. White clouds, the expansive Valles Mariners, and numerous craters are among the striking features revealed.

InSight detected the largest and most distant quakes on Mars, the most powerful ever recorded.

The shot of the crater was snapped last June by the CaSSIS camera onboard the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO), which blasted off from Baikonur Cosmodrome, southern Kazakhstan in 2016.

Part of the ExoMars mission, the rover is a joint project of the European Space Agency (ESA) and Russias Roscosmos, and was assembled in Stevenage, England.

The ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter found a water-rich area Marss Grand Canyon that is about the size of the Netherlands. Scientists are not sure what form the water is in, but suggest it is ice.
