The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Vanich Potavanich presents

Backed by generous support from the Tourism Authority of Thailand and B.Grimm, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra added to its impressive 2024 season of concerts at the Thailand Cultural Centre on May 10, with the regular RBSO bolstered by extra guest musicians from the Bangkok Metropolitan Orchestra and Mahidol College of Music for a programme of Ottorino Respighi

As if a continuation of the joy and exuberance of recent Songkran festivities, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra's latest concert at the Thailand Cultural Centre on April 21 was a singularly lighthearted and delightful affair, full of playful energy and vivacity.

A celebratory concert given by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra in honour of the 36th birthday of its beloved patron HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya began the 2023 season in splendid fashion.

Music lovers are invited to enjoy another four performances of the much-loved and popular Sunday evening Concert In The Park series during its 30th anniversary season. The shows will take place at Sala Bhirom Bhakdi in Lumpini Park, Rama IV Road, this Sunday and Feb 5, 12 and 19, starting at 5.30pm.

Conducting maestro Vanich Potavanich and the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra demonstrated most emphatically just how to fill every single seat of the Thailand Cultural Centre earlier this month.

To celebrate the auspicious occasion of King Vajiralongkorn's 70th birthday on July 28, a fantastic, brand new Concerto For Alto Saxophone And Orchestra was commissioned and performed by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO) at the Thailand Cultural Centre on July 22. Composed by Thailand's foremost classical composer Prof Narongrit Dhamabutra, the soloist was a musician of truly worldwide stature, the Greek virtuoso Theodore Kerkezos.
