234 companies have raised funds from Indian markets so far in 2023, with a significant portion of 176 companies falling within the SME category. In comparison, CY22 witnessed 103 SMEs entering the market; the number was 52 in 2021, 31 in 2020, and 31 in 2019.

There are nine stocks in Ashish Kacholias portfolio that have soared by more than 100% in just seven months, with the newly-listed SME stock Vasa Denticity turning out to be the best performer. Some of his largest bets include Safari Industries, Gravita India, Garware Hi-Tech Films and NIIT Learning Systems, shows data from ACE Equity.

Recent data for the September quarter reveals that Kacholia has publicly disclosed his investments in around 45 stocks.

Out of the 105 SME IPOs that got listed on Dalal Street so far in the calendar year 2023, a majority 84 have given positive returns. This translates into a win rate of 80%, which means four out of every five SME IPOs made money.

So far, in 2023, 100 SME firms have raised a record ₹2,600 crore of funds from the SME board, breaking the previous record of ₹2,287 crore raised in 2018 by 141 firms. By contrast, 19 companies have raised around ₹14,500 crore on the main board

The Nifty Auto index was trading 1.17 per cent down at 15505.35.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.59 per cent down at 14912.75.

The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.14 per cent up at 15168.7.
