The Lagos State Police has rescued two infants who were locked up in an apartment on Adelakun Street, in the Iju Ishaga area of Lagos State.

He said the gender unit in the physical abuse case instructed the female victim to return to her abusive husband and apologise to him.

The group also lamented over the alleged rejection of the abused minor by the state Ministry of Youth and Social Development.

The Commissioner, Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Bolaji Ogunlende, spoke on the issue in a statement.

The ACVPN Case Manager, Jennifer Nwosu, revealed that the case of the minor was flagged by a mandated reporter.
