MOUNT CARMEL — Joseph A. McConnell, 59, of Mount Carmel, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at Wabash General Hospital.

Wabash Valley College (WVC) is proud to announce the successful completion of its first year in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program (PTA) and the upcoming graduation of its first cohort of 13 students next spring. According to Amy Hart of WADI, Salvation Army collections for the holidays start today. Because of the Salvation Army last year, 18 families received help with utilities, gas cards, rent, doctor's appointments, and similar items. MOUNT CARMEL — Betty Ruth Riley Mair, 94, passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at Wabash General Hospital. She was the youngest of eight children born to Mary Ann (Hatfield) and Charles W. Riley in Owensville, Indiana, on Jan. 22, 1926.
