The Mass of Christian Burial for Carolyn Reichelt, of Duluth and formerly of Wadena, will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m on Tuesday, November 28, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Wadena, with Father Gabriel Walz as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wadena, MN.

The combined city and school election will be held on Election Day, which is tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Candace Simar is keynote speaker for Nov. 4 event

The event will begin with coffee and a meet and greet with the authors followed by a 10:15 a.m. program featuring all five authors. Simar will provide the featured keynote at 11:00 a.m.

The event will feature Minnesota authors Candace Simar, Jeanne Cooney, Julie Jo Larson, Jennifer Schultz and Barbara J. Mack.

The plan to implement a quarter percent sales tax on taxable purchases is to pay for the new Wadena Library remodel.

The funds have been made possible through donations made in the county since 1986.

Various cuts to funding requests were made in an attempt to balance the budget.

The new library inches closer to completion with a hopeful October opening date.
