The Moment in Time Dance Co.’s inaugural public recital at Wadena-Deer Creek Elementary School was held Thursday, Dec. 21, with the WDC Rhythmettes Dance Team and almost two dozen dance performances.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is calling on all Girl Scouts to explore and learn during the fifth annual Girl Scouts Love Ohio State Parks weekend, Sept. 8-10.

The 56th annual fundraiser will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, at Burlington Northern Park across from Super One Foods in Wadena.

The winner of the award will receive a special prize basket during the June 25 pageant. This year's contestants are Zoe Curtis, Madelyn Gallant, Anna Guo, Isabelle Larson and Macie Moore.

The Deer Creek Fire Department recently elected Andrew Browne to serve as its fire chief. In 2019, Browne also joined the Wadena Fire Department.

Two of the contestants are returning for another shot at becoming the next Miss Wadena.

Deer Creek branch manager Andrew Browne and vice president Michelle Silvers are the two new board members of Wadena State Bank.

Check cash closely as most fake bills are clearly labeled as "PLAY MONEY."
