Wakefield Warriors Program News Today

During last night’s meeting, the Melbourne City Council approved a resolution to change the name of Crane Field Park to Tim Wakefield Sports Complex to honor Tim Wakefield and to provide a long-lasting and permanent testament to his commitment to the City of Melbourne.

It is with sadness we report the passing of Florida Tech alumnus Tim Wakefield, a gifted athlete and compassionate soul whose magic with baseball was surpassed only by his generosity, kindness and selfless service to his native Space Coast and adopted New England home.

The two-time World Series champion was a Florida Tech alumnus and an impactful member of the university's Board of Trustees.
