PENDLETON, Ore.-A Pendleton man will serve jail time and must pay $75,000 in fines after being sentenced on August 1 for killing numerous deer and elk near Pendleton in 2020.

An Oregon poacher has pleaded guilty to 22 charges related to a ‘wildlife crime spree’ that spanned over 18 months. The Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife said Pendleton resident Walker Erickson is required to pay a total of $75,000 in fines and serve several jail sentences due to trespassing, illegally hunting animals and then leaving them to waste.
