Mark as we all know, its pretty rare for someone to survive falling into these gigantic grain bins. It happens all too often. We were told a few minutes ago that the mans body has been recovered. He was apparently buried for over three hours. Crews found him after about 90 minutes but it took another hour at least to get to the body. Look at some of the video we shot earlier this morning. The owner and i was select farms iowa select farms, he had a hired hand were going to remove grain for the top of the bin but the topic crusted over. A worker got there to break it up. Unit went down to started the auger. After a few minutes he went back up to check of the worker and he was gone, apparently falling into the grain. Everytime you move you get a little deeper. The man who was buried wasnt wearing a safety harness or tethered to anything. Rescuers were wearing safety gear as they tried to unbury him. He was in the center of the bin, the hardest place to reach and get grain tubes around him. 19 12 we had two sets, made two rings around, then they started pulling the grain out from inside the tube to gain access.
