Chinese President Xi Jinping met Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan on November 3 in Beijing where the two leaders agreed to upgrade bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. Hassan is the first African head of state received by China after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the visit fully demonstrated that closeness of China-Tanzania relations and the important status of China-Africa ties in Chinas overall diplomacy.

CCM is satisfied with the speed of implementation of strategic projects being implemented by the sixth-phase government of President Samia Suluhu Hassan, a top secretariat official has declared.

THE new 51-meter Wami Bridge and the 3.8-km approach roads connecting Chalinze town in Coast Region and Segera in Tanga Region will be completed in September this year.
