PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal has set July 7 to hear the appeals by 14 individuals, including two brothers of businessman, Nicky Liow Soon Hee (pic), to be freed from the charges of being involved in the organised crime group known as "Nicky Gang”.

SHAH ALAM: Fourteen individuals including four Chinese nationals, as well as two siblings of fugitive businessman Nicky Liow Soon Hee have been given a discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA).The group was given a DNAA from charges of being involved in an organised crime group known as Nicky Gang by the High Court here.

The public prosecutor said they intend to pursue the charges against the accused in the future.

PETALING JAYA: Fourteen members of the Nicky Gang will spend the next two weeks in jail until their case is transferred to the High Court.Their bail was denied by the Sessions Court here. The suspects were among 16 members of the gang who were earlier charged in the same court for involvement in organised crime, which carries a prison sentence of not less than five years and not more than 20 years in jail, if found guilty.
