ROGERS -- The name of a historical figure was found carved into a previously inaccessible area of War Eagle Cavern, cavern employees say.

War Eagle Cavern says the carving references Sylvanus Walker Blackburn, a well-known Northwest Arkansas figure who built the first grist mill in Benton County.

Paddle around the park The Van Winkle Hollow arm of Beaver Lake, east of Rocky Branch park, is popular with paddlers because much of the water is surrounded by Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area. There are two launch sites in the park.
