new lawsuit against the treasury department reveals the agency gave thousands of taxpayers confidential filings to the white house for review. later today, those records are being released. according to the government watchdog group cause of action, the large number of documents signals the white house might have made significant errors to obtain taxpayers personal information. this president told the american people that there wasn t a smidgen of corruption in this irs scandal. now we know that the white house has, for whatever reason, been accessing our private tax information and it s taken my organization two years to fight for transparency of these records. if it wasn t so bad, if there wasn t a smidgen of corruption, why try so hard to keep these records silent? the group says 2,000 records should come out today. 2,000 that they expect to see a lot of redach.
